Captain Steve & blu Q

In 1995, I sailed to Key West from Galveston Bay, Texas on my original boat, Brigadoon. For the past 10 years I've logged thousands of miles exploring the beautiful waters surrounding Key West.  Sharing these experiences  is the highlight of each day.  Now, after years of searching for the best boat,  I'm proud to sail "blu Q".  Whether going for a sailing trip to view the sunset, or sailing to one of many unique and interesting snorkeling or kayaking destinations,   I'm sure this is an experience you'll remember and want to repeat.  As you can read from the pages of the ship's log,  these direct quotes depict our guest's memorable trips.  I invite you to join us on your visit to Key West.  I always say,  coming to Key West without going out on the water is like going to Egypt and not seeing the pyramids.  It's just something you must do!

Voted Best of Gay Key West Watersports 2002

Attention to detail sets us apart.

At 42 feet long and 26 feet wide, blu Q is very comfortable, stable, smooth and fast.  A custom built and US Coast Guard certified vessel,  blu Q is the only gay owned and operated vessel in Key West certified for more than 6 passengers.  There's always lot's of room  with over 600 feet of deck space and 200 sq. ft. of shaded cockpit area.   For your comfort, there's two head's (restrooms) and a fresh water deck shower.  Additional amenities include a surround sound Bose and Jensen Stereo System.

The goal of the crew aboard blu Q is to provide you with the most professional and friendly service.  Our USCG licensed Captains and mates are professional and trained to give you the safest, best experience imaginable.

I've always contended that one of the main ingredients for a carefree and fun day on the water is good service,  drink and food.  That's why we love to provide everything on board including great meals for many of our trips.  The menu changes throughout the year.  One of our favorite summer meals are fresh Caesar salads topped with smoked or grilled chicken breast.  Fresh seasonal fruit platters and fresh bakery breads compliment every meal onboard.  In the cooler months, hot gumbos of chicken, turkey and smoked sausage served with rice and fresh baked bread will certainly please your taste buds.  Some of my guests have told me that they come as much for the food as well as the sailing and snorkeling.   At any rate,  it's all about spoiling our guests.

I hope our website has been helpful in making plans for your Key West getaway.  I trust you will want to enjoy the beautiful waters that surround our lovely tropical isle.  When you're booking your reservation for accommodations, ask them about blu Q,  Captain Steve and our great crew!
